Hello Members,
Well, it's been a wonderful season of produce! We were delighted to of gotten to know you and see you enjoying the harvest here at the farm. The harvest has come to an end :(... Sunday, October 16th, 4:00PM to 6:00PM is our last pick up for ALL of you. Sunday ONLY is the last pick up. There will not be a Friday pick up.
 
We have the new 2006 CSA Applications for those of you that want one. It will be whoever is first to sign up gets in the CSA program. We are not taking deposits this year to hold shares. Full payment is expected upon sign up. We will have pick up on Fridays only in 2006, 4:00pm to 7:00pm. If you cannot come on the pick up day, you may come to our road side stand on Saturday, but some of the produce on the newsletter list may not be available at the stand, as we grow some produce especially for our members only.

4 Varieties of Cabbage, 3 varieties of celery, 4 varieties of eggplant, 2 varieties of garlic, 6 varieties of hot peppers, 11 varieties of sweet peppers, 2 varieties of kale, 5 varieties of potatoes, 1 variety of tomatillos, 18 varieties of tomatoes, 4 varieties of broccoli, 2 varieties of okra, 4 varieties of melons, 1 variety of collard greens, 1 variety of black cabbage, 5 varieties of early squash, 2 varieties of rhubarb, 3 varieties of cucumbers, 4 varieties of beans, 2 varieties of cauliflower, 1 variety of kohlrabi, 1 variety of Bok Choy.
Also, 5 variety of flowers and over 15 different herbs.

Tim is taking requests for the VERY large-leaved cabbage ("Late Flat Dutch" variety)--great for stuffing. Let us know via phone or email how many you want and he will have it picked for you.
 
You-Cut Herbs
Tips and ideas...
-Cut LOTS of herbs now, while you can. Cut as much as you would like and store/freeze in freezer bags or jars.
You are welcome to cut 2-3 feet branches off the basil!!
 
You-Cut Flowers
-See what you can find: make it an "adventure!"

For those of you that ordered turkey, the pick up DAY will be:
Saturday, November 5th, 11am-3pm
If you need to cancel your turkey order, please let us know as soon as possible. In fact, we need to know whether you want the turkey or not.
