Just a friendly reminder: if you are not going to come pick up your
produce, please call ahead and let us know. We pick the produce
for each and every member. When you do not show, we are left
with produce at the end of the day. If we know you are not coming,
then we can either leave the produce in the field or give more to
the other members that will be coming. We appreciate your under-
standing and cooperation in this matter. Thank you.

Recipe

Pasta with Fresh Tomato-Basil-Olive Sauce

4 cloves garlic, crushed
10 large basil leaves
1/4 cup toasted pine nuts
1 pound seeded, chopped tomatoes
    (about 4 medium tomatoes)
3 Tbsp extra-virgin olive oil
2 Tbsp pitted green olives
4 Tbsp freshly grated Parmesan cheese
salt and pepper to taste
1/2 pound pasta

Puree all ingredients except pasta. Cook pasta in lots of salted, boiling water; drain and toss with sauce. Makes 4 servings.

Help on the farm--if you would like to help, the flower bed would love to be weeded. Even if you pull a few weeds as you pick flowers, this is helpful. All members benefit, including you. Thank you.

Please be careful and drive slowly on our driveway. Be prepared to stop. Watch for pedestrians and other vehicles as you enter and leave. Thank you.

Of all human activities,
apart from the procreation of children,
gardening is the most optimistic
and hopeful.
The gardener is by definition
one who plans for and believes
and trusts in a future,
whether in the short
or the longer term.
